You want to be smart, troll? Quit being racist and you'll be one step closer. That surely distorts the real apportion of native blood.

In Europe there's been some immigration but not too much admixture yet across ethnic lines. It'll take some time, specially as some immigrant communities are very closed: these, like the Roma, may remain separated largely because they wish it that way. Others, from America or non-Muslim Black Africa specially, will surely assimilate more easily and hence their genome will penetrate more easily.

But well... give it some time, a century or so.Majuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12369840391933337204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023805782808412230.post-7640889349441586502011-02-17T21:24:17.448+01:002011-02-17T21:24:17.448+01:00The generally low level of American ancestry in mo...The generally low level of American ancestry in most of Brazil is surprising.

I'm pretty sure that I recall seeing prior studies establishing that "white" is less ancestrally European and that "black" is less ancestrally African in Latin America generally than in the United States.

I will be interesting to see what patterns emerge in Europe. Most European studies seem carefully calculated to tracing populations that are as indigenous as possible (e.g. looking at grandparental ancestry). But, the late 20th century has produced a lot of immigration to Europe, mostly along former colonial relationship lines. What parts of the New World with post-immigration Europe look like?Andrew Oh-Willekehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02537151821869153861noreply@blogger.com
